En 1988, alors qu’elle vient de perdre son père, Nela décide de quitter Bucarest pour enseigner dans une petite ville de province. Elle y rencontre Mitica, médecin à l’hôpital qui, comme elle, ne croit plus ni en Dieu ni en l’homme et qui partage son humour salvateur. Mais le couple dérange…

In 1988, having just lost her father, Nela decides to leave  Bucharest to go and teach in a small provincial town. There she meets Mitica, a doctor at the hospital who, like her, no longer believes in either God or man and who shares her salutary humour. But the couple stirs up bad feeling …
