En 1932, dans une petite ville d’Alabama, Atticus Finch, veuf et avocat, élève seul ses deux jeunes enfants Scout et Jem. Le petit Dill Harris, voisin en vacances de la famille Finch, est fasciné par les récits de Jem qui lui parle sans cesse de la « maison hantée » où habite leur mystérieux voisin Boo Radley. Atticus Finch is a widowed lawyer of 1932, raising his two young children Scout and Jemalone in a small town in Alabama. Young Dill Harris, the Finch’s holidaying neighbour, is fascinated by Jem’s endless stories of the “haunted house” inhabited by their mysterious neighbour, Boo Radley.
