Vicky, un petit garçon de 10 ans, arrive au Kerala, un état du Sud de l’Inde pour assister à l’enterrement de son grand-père. Toute la famille s’est réunie pour l’occasion. Pendant les seize jours que durent les rites funéraires traditionnels, les enfants, confrontés au monde des adultes, vont devoir adapter leurs propres codes à un univers souvent menaçant et presque toujours incompréhensible…

Ten-year-old Vicky arrives in Kerala, in the south of India, to attend his grandfather’s funeral. The entire family has come together for the occasion.
