Résumé

Un jeune docker, Terry Malloy, est manipulé par son frère, avocat du syndicat des dockers dirigé par le crapuleux Johnny Friendly. Il assiste, sans intervenir, au meurtre d’un employé qui voulait dénoncer les méthodes illégales de ce dernier. Edie, la soeur de la victime, demande à Terry, de l’aider à faire juger les coupables…

Young dock worker Terry Malloy is manipulated by his brother, the lawyer of the dockers’ union run by the villainous Johnny Friendly. He stands by and does nothing when he witnesses the murder of an employee who was planning to denounce Friendly’s illegalmethods. Edie, the victim’s sister, asks Terry to help her bring the culprits to justice…
