Résumé

Dans les années 1970, Jeannie est une adolescente acquise à la libération des moeurs qui vit une relation conflictuelle avec ses parents. Larry, le père, traverse une crise de la quarantaine bien canalisée par son psy et son épouse Lynn joue parfaitement son rôle de femme au foyer. Un jour, Jeannie s’enfuit de chez elle. Afin de la comprendre, les parents rejoignent une association de parents d’enfants fugitifs où ils s’initient à la contre-culture…

It is the 1970s and Jeannie is a teenager taken with sexual liberation who has a stormy relationshipwith her parents. Her father Larry is going through  amidlife crisis that is well channelled by his shrink, while hermother Lynn plays the part of a housewife to perfection. One day, Jeannie runs away from home.  In an attempt to understand her, Lynn and Larry join a society for the parents of fugitive children, becoming acquainted with counterculture in the process.
