Vinayak est garde forestier. Veuf et solitaire, il passe ses journées à errer dans une jungle sans cesse menacée par les voleurs de bois. Un jour, il découvre près de samaison une jeune femme simple d’esprit. Il tente de l’apprivoiser, sous l’oeil réprobateur des villageois voisins.

Vinayak is a forest ranger. Lonely since the death of his wife, he spends his days roaming through a jungle that is constantly under threat from wood thieves. One day, he discovers a mentally ill young woman near his home. Under the reproachful eye of the neighbouring villagers, he attempts to befriend her.
