Résumé

Ce matin, ma mère a reçu un appel du Dakota du Sud. Elle apprend qu’on a retrouvé Diane Wellington, disparue en 1938. Tel est le point de départ de cette narration qui renoue avec les codes du cinéma muet en s’appuyant sur des intertitres. Cette histoire est racontée de différents points de vue, à partir de faits réels ou fantas_més et d’images d’archives collectées sur Internet, dont le réalisateur ignore totalement l’origine.

My mother got a call from South Dakota this morning. She was told that Diane Wellington, who disappeared in 1938, had been found again. Such is the starting point for a story that revives silent film conventions by using title cards. The tale is told from different points of view, using both true and imaginary stories in addition to archives of unknown origin retrieved from the internet.
